Yes, the game does have repitition, but as does EVERY other game. As for the buying in game currency, you dont have to buy it just as you get the fourth person slot. You have to earn it since it is very important and valueble. One thing I must say though, is that the score after battles (A, S, B ect.) dont make sense.
